William IV Mahogany Wall Cabinet.

£450.00

A Fine 19th Century William IV Mahogany Wall Cabinet

An elegant and well-proportioned early 19th century William IV mahogany wall cabinet, constructed in rich figured mahogany and designed in a restrained Gothic Revival taste. The cabinet features a shallow architectural pediment with subtle carved scroll terminals, lending a refined ecclesiastical influence without excess ornament.

The pair of glazed doors are fitted with arched Gothic tracery glazing bars, opening to a shelved interior ideal for the display of small objects, ceramics or curios. The doors retain their original brass trim to the leading edges and are complete with the original working key and lock, a pleasing and increasingly scarce survival.

Condition : overall in very good original condition, top section of right hand glass has a small hair line crack.
