A highly distinctive side chair by Carlo Bugatti (1856–1940), the ebonised frame inlaid with pewter and copper mounts. The seat and back clad in vellum, the back finely painted with an Morrish figure signed Tillyman.

With its exotic silhouette and cross-cultural detailing, this chair epitomises Bugatti’s unique design language, blending Moorish, Japanese, and Art Nouveau influences. An evocative and collectable work by one of the most original designers of the late 19th and early 20th century.

Condition :  the chair is in need of restoration Frame strong and sound, vellum panel missing on the back of the chair, vellum seat damaged and missing tassels. the price has been reflected in the condition of the chair.
