19Th Century Painted Pig Bench.

£400.00

A wonderfully primitive 19th century pig bench.

this example is of simple plank construction, raised on four splayed legs for stability. The elongated seat is hewn from a single thick board, showing signs of age, wear, and repeated use consistent with its original purpose.

The surface retains a beautifully worn red painted finish, revealing areas of bare timber beneath the legs, slightly tapering and set at angles, provide a sturdy base while enhancing the bench’s rustic, vernacular aesthetic.
