19th Century Anglo-Indian Dressing Table

A fine 19th-century Anglo-Indian dressing table, stamped “Curries & Co., Calcutta”, crafted in richly figured Cuban mahogany. The rectangular superstructure is fitted with a hinged compartmented top, incorporating a range of original fitted storage compartments and a large original mercury glass mirror plate within a substantial moulded mahogany frame.

The central section is arranged with a large, deep drawer, flanked by additional drawers and retaining its original turned wooden handles and fittings. The table is raised on four boldly carved, spiral-turned and reeded legs, terminating in original brass castors.
