19Th Century Aesthetics movement Table.

19th-century ebonised  table, in the Anglo-Japanese Aesthetic style, attributed to the design influence of E.W. Godwin. The table features a square ebonised top with a moulded edge, raised on slender turned supports with ring-turned detailing and splayed stretchers. The tiered construction, dark lacquered surface, and lightweight architectural form reflect Godwin’s interest in Japanese furniture, geometric restraint, and the late Victorian Aesthetic Movement.
