19Th Century Islamic Shisha Table

A rare 19th century Syrian inlaid shisha table, of hexagonal form, finely decorated with intricate geometric and interlaced motifs, the surface and sides inlaid with bone, tortoiseshell, and ebony, displaying exceptional craftsmanship typical of the late Ottoman period. The pierced and arched panels to each side are framed with delicate stringing and patterned borders, raised on slender legs united by an open, architectural apron. Syria, circa 1880.
