19Th Century Indian Rickshaw.

A late 19th century Indian rickshaw painted wooden and metal construction with brass mounts.  The carriage has a folding canvas hood and a rattan seat with a squab cushion and a pair of carriage lamps. The rickshaw is in very good working order.

Provenance : The Rickshaw belonged to a British Army Officer of the 1st Gurkha Rifles Regiment and on his return to Blighty he brought back his beloved man servant and rickshaw.  In his later part of his life the Officer would be pulled in the rickshaw around his garden to inspect his flower beds.
