A wonderfully evocative 19th-century chaise longue, recently uncovered in the attic of a stable block within the parkland of a Warwickshire country house. This elegant daybed is raised on a finely shaped mahogany frame, the serpentine outline and scrolling end carved with confident, fluid detail typical of the period.
The piece retains its original deep-buttoned upholstery in red Moroccan leather, the mahogany frame is in very good order and amazingly the springs and undercarriage are in very good order.
