A Fine Pair of 19th Century Welsh Bobbin-Leg Cricket Tables

A charming and increasingly scarce pair of 19th century Welsh cricket tables, each retaining its beautifully worn, thick solid pine circular top displaying the rich patina and honest wear . The tops sit above distinctive ebonised bobbin-turned legs united by a deep triangular apron, giving the tables their wonderfully sculptural appearance.

Traditionally made in Wales during the 19th century, cricket tables are celebrated for their practical three-legged construction, allowing them to stand securely on the uneven stone floors common in Welsh  taverns and farmhouses .

Wonderfully versatile, they make superb lamp tables, side tables, or occasional tables and work equally well in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
