A rare 19th century Irish Súgán rocking chair in its original worn green paint, rich with age and character. Crafted from native ash, the chair features a traditional hand-woven straw súgán seat, tightly bound and beautifully patinated from generations of use. Its simple vernacular form is defined by a comb-shaped back, and gently curved rockers worn smooth from decades of motion. The original green paint, now beautifully crackled and time-faded, hints at its rural Irish origins and lends the piece an honest, untouched authenticity.
