19Th Century Folk Art Needle Box Cottage.

A 19th century folk art needle work box in form of a country cottage. This quite remarkable box is constructed from pine with a carved thatched roof and secret compartment in the chimney, below the box has been decorated with raised creepers growing over the cottage using what looks like twigs and applied foliage, at the base of the box is a very sweet picket fence with a  cat sitting on the porch. To the right side of the box is another secret compartment in the A frame of the thatched roof. The attention to detail on this box is quite extraordinary !
