A group of twelve 19th century Indian terracotta and cotton dressed figures from the West Bengal area of Indian probably Krishnanagar. Mounted on square white bases each on beautifully modelled with the most astonishing amount of detail. These figures were brought back by the Colonial British to show there families and friends what the native Indians looked like and show there way of life. Very rare to find such a collection in such good condition because the figure are incredibly fragile.
