A Early 19Th Century Mannequin Head.
A extremely rare early 19th century life sized carved and polychrome mannequin head reputably from the Tower of London. Used to display a suit of armour in “The line of the kings” exhibition in the Tower of London in 1820. Mounted on a lead weighted mahogany stand.
Condition : The forehead has been trimmed at some point probably to fit a helmet surface scratches to the paint and a large ageing crack at the back of the head and a few areas of woodworm holes.
