A Collection Of Five 19Th Century Indian Spears.


A collection of four 19th century Naga spears and one 19th century Indian spear, the four naga spears originate from the north east frontier of Nagaland. In the 19th century the Nagas had very little contact with outside world and fiercely fought British occupation, most of the naga tribes were head hunters and were feared by all. A lots of the weapons used were decorated with vibrant colours and like the spears often decorated with goats hair to look more intimidating.

Largest spear measures 232cm long, smallest measures 190cm.
